The Amrit Keertan App is a highly popular and user-friendly tool for searching Gurbani. With over 77,000 downloads, it is the easiest and most widely-used app of its kind. Unlike other apps, it offers a range of convenient features without any annoying advertisements. Compatible with both phones and iPads, this app allows users to easily copy and paste any Shabad or specific line, as well as email, share, or print Shabads. Additionally, users can create folders for future access.
This comprehensive app includes the complete Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas Ji, Bhai Nand Lal, and Rehatnama Banis. The Shabad database can be updated automatically through the settings without needing to reinstall the app. Furthermore, the app allows users to report errors such as spelling mistakes directly within the application.
Included in this digital version are all the shabads traditionally sung by Raggis in Sikh congregations from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Dasam Granth Ji, Bhai Gurdas Ji's Kabit, Vaaran by Bhai Gurdas Ji, and Bhai Nand Lal Ji. It also encompasses complete bani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas Ji, Bhai Nand Lal Ji's bani, and Rehatnamas.
The Amrit Kirtan Pothi is not only used by Raagis for performing Kirtan but can also be utilized by any Sikh devotee or enthusiast for learning and understanding Gurbani and its elaboration in the compositions of Bhai Gurdas Ji and Bhai Nand Lal Ji.
This app allows users to search for any shabad simply by entering its initials with a space. It also supports English translation and transliteration inputs. Users can search by Amrit Kirtan page number, shabad, or browse through the 113 chapters and pages from 65 to 1017. Additionally, the app enables users to bookmark favorite shabads by tapping the star icon or email them as a PDF to others.
Frequent updates are released for the Shabad database and other features, and Asa di Vaar is now available as a separate feature. All shabads from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib, Bhai Gurdas Ji, and Bhai Nand Lal Ji are included in the app's library. Furthermore, the developers are working on many more features that are currently in development.
